Linwood "Max" Proctor

Linwood “Max” Proctor died expectedly on January 7, 2021 at MCV Hospital in Richmond, VA.  He was born on April 11, 1981 in Newark, NJ, the son of Thomas Knight and Irma Proctor.  He attended Jefferson High School and later joined the US Army.  He moved to Sumter, SC and fathered his only and beloved child, daughter Ja’liyah Savage-Proctor. A consummate bachelor, Max was loved by many women including past and present loves Ja’Maicia Savage and Carmen Fleming. Max specialized in HVAC repair and was a die-hard NY Giants fan.  He enjoyed hip-hop music, was a movie buff and loved spirited debates.  Sisters, Simone Bunche and Hasanna Proctor credit Max with being the funniest baby brother ever.  While, aunt and godmother Gloria Gaynor Fowles cherished his ability to binge watch more movies than her.  He mourned the death of his parents and brothers Anthony and Gene Knight. His life will be celebrated by hosts of cousins and friends who feel like family
