Timothy Scott

Deacon Timothy Scott affectionately known as “Mookie” or “Scott” was born on December 19, 1949 in Georgetown, South Carolina to the late Jack Sr. & Almenia Scott. He was number six of ten children. He transitioned from this life on January 6, 2024. He was preceded in death by his siblings Jack Scott Jr, and Alvetta Harp. Deacon Timothy Scott was educated in the South Carolina school system graduating from Georgetown High School, then entering the United States Armed forces branch of Marines. Deacon Scott was blessed with a beautiful daughter Marsha Middleton. He relocated to Newark NJ and met and married the late Roxzine Scott, and to this union one son was born Simont Scott. Deacon Scott was an expert tradesman and he and his brother Verna Scott started Scott Construction. After some time he embarked on his own and initiated Right Away General Contractors. Deacon Scott mentored young men and opened the door for many in the field of construction. Deacon Scott accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and put his hand to the plow never looking back; faithfully serving the Lord at the Good New Tabernacle Holiness church, Newark, NJ under the leadership of the late Pastor Elder Terry Patrick. Thereafter he served at Good News Sounds of Pentecost under the leadership of his beloved Pastor Overseer Darryl Alexander and First Lady Tasha Alexander. Deacon Scott was the head deacon, he served on the trustee board and was the building manager on the church beautification committee. From childhood “Mookie” was family-oriented man and he opened his heart and home to many. He cared deeply for all his children and family members he was a great husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. Deacon Scott met and married his devoted wife and love Mary Spencer. Tim and Mary were committed to each other and remained together until the Lord took him home. Deacon Scott leaves to mourn him his wife Mary Spencer, daughter Marsha Middleton, son Simont Scott, grandchildren Catrell Middleton, Jamil Middleton, Tiyani Middleton, Kaymore Green, Raquel Payne, Simont Scott Jr, Makayla Scott, Mahki Scott, Ayden & Kylie Scott. Bonus children & grandchildren, Lamar Ingram, Tymilya Ingram, Nikerra Hill, Sadiqa Robinson, Lamar Xavier Ingram, Shantee Flowers, Al-Hanif Ingram, Nadirrah Ingram, Isaiah Ingram, Javion Ingram, Aamir Hill & Ari Hill. Siblings: Verna Scott (Phyllis), Nathaniel Scott (Patricia), Lateria Scott, Jackie Williams, Flora Cox (Ollie), Gary Lee Scott, Janice Cobb, a sister-inlaw Evelyn Bell as well as a host of beloved family
